Spencer Finkbohner, YES Baseball Ambassador, Petaluma, CA

After spending ten years in law enforcement, Spencer Finkbohner developed a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and commitment to serving others. These qualities carried over into his other passions, particularly coaching, which has been a cornerstone of his life since 2010.

His coaching journey began after an elbow injury in college shifted his trajectory from playing to mentoring. Over the years he has had the privilege of coaching multiple sports and helping athletes unlock their full potential. Spencer strives to connect with players on a deeper level, drawing inspiration from coaches who truly understand the art and science of hitting and building meaningful relationships with their teams.

Outside of his career, Spencer’s world revolves around his family. He and his wife Sarah have two wonderful daughters, Tessa (3) and Lainey (1), with a baby boy on the way. They also share their home with Augie, a lovable Goldendoodle. Cooking, chess, and sports are his outlets for creativity and competition, and he is always looking for new ways to combine personal and professional passions.

Currently, Spencer’s focus is on elevating the West Coast NTSI program to new heights (TEAM USA preliminarily try outs), leveraging his coaching experience and dedication to the game. Whether he is leading on the field or spending quality time with family, he is driven by the pursuit of excellence and the joy of making a positive impact on others.
